This course provides the basic knowledge of welding engineering as
related to the design and inspection of welds. Includes review of the main international structural and welding codes applied
to oil and gas, automotive and space industries, as well as quality control procedures and personnel qualification together
with nondestructive testing applied for these purposes. Emphasis will be given to the interrelationship between welding
process, quality standards, material properties, and their effect on the performance of the weldment in service.
