This course provides a comprehensive understanding of welding processes, covering fundamental principles, process selection, metallurgy, quality control, and modern automation techniques. Students will explore arc welding (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW), resistance welding (RW), solid-state welding (FSW, ultrasonic welding), and advanced techniques such as laser and electron beam welding. THE Emphasis will be given to the interrelationship between the welding processes, quality standards, material properties, and their effect on the performance of the weldment in service.
